ao. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dagmar Schoder

Dagmar Schoder works as a university teacher and researcher at the Institute for Milk Hygiene at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna. She heads the working group "Global Food Safety" in the subject "Milk hygiene and food science" and is a board member of VSF International.

Expertise:

  • validation of analytical systems for the detection of pathogens in food and water;
  • conducting prevalence studies and risk analyzes.

 

Priv. Doz. Dr.rer.nat. Peter Rossmanith

Peter Rossmanith is head of the Christian-Doppler-Laboratory for Monitoring of Microbial Contaminants (CD-MOMICO).

Expertise:

  • development of molecular biological rapid tests for the detection of food pathogens

 

Mag.rer.nat. Elisabeth Frohner

Elisabeth Frohner is a qualified nutritionist, employed at the Institute for Milk Hygiene, Milk Technology and Food Science, and representative to the award-winning elementary school project "Good food 4 kids".

Expertise:

  • food technology
  • specific nutrition and dietetics

 

Dr. Benedict Lema

Benedict Lema has a doctorate in veterinary medicine. He heads the Bacteriological Department of the Central Veterinary Laboratories at the Federal Veterinary Investigation Institute in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. In addition, Dr. Lema is coordinator of the "Animal Bacterial Diseases Research Program," as well as a national quality manager of veterinary laboratories in Tanzania.

Mag.rer.nat. John Laffa

John Laffa is a graduate expert in agriculture, livestock and animal breeding. He belongs to the Sandawe tribe, one of the oldest tribes in Africa, and pursues ethnological studies on the subjects of animal husbandry and traditional medicine. He is fluent in English, Kiswahili, Maa (the language of the Maasai) and the endangered clicking language of the Bushmen. The latter is phonetically one of the most difficult languages in the world to learn.
